Entertainer of the Year

The Australian Country Music Entertainer of the Year accolade was re-instituted in 2023 as a permanent recognition following an erratic history since it was first introduced by the Country Music Association of Australia as part of its annual Achiever Awards in 1996 and ran through to 2004 missing the year 2001.

The Entertainer of the Year award is now determined by a vote predominantly of Australian country music industry representatives (mainly specialist writers and broadcasters) with a vote also by members of the general public.

It is awarded to the artist deemed to be the most active and most successful during the 12 months preceding the presentation in all areas of career activity.
